Thousands of youth hopefuls from all over Australia go through a fly-on-the-wall insight where talented musicians/singers go through stages of elimination where by a select few are given a record contract. The pop group Bardot, created from the Popstars television program, has achieved a number 1 hit single, two additional gold singles and a Number 1 album in Australia. The group has just completed a national tour and is about to embark on a major tour of Asia. Series 2 follows a nationwide search to find the talent with the courage and determination to risk everything in their quest to become Popstars. The show will meet the boys and girls as they prepare for an audition that could change their life. It will share their excitement as they get selected, their nervousness as they leave home and their pride at their eventual selection to be a Popstar.
