In the depth of winter, young doctor Franz must face a strange epidemic spreading amongst the county's children. Helpless, yet still hopeful, Franz endevors to give out handmade toys to his young patients. He will travel through the wide snowy landscapes to his sick ones. Time is running out, he must be quick; the children are dying before he can reach them. Only little Nina remains, but he finds her absent, forever prisoner of emptiness.
