Finn, a stone cutter, lacks meaning and passion in his lonely life. Then one day he sees a tuba in a shop window and falls in love with it. He buys the tuba and starts practising energetically, but nobody wants to listen to his tentative efforts. Finn has almost given up playing, when accidentally and with the help of his music, he stops a woman from taking her own life.
