This one-hour special for Lifetime TV celebrates and explores the life of actress Delta Burke. It traces her Southern childhood, beauty pageant career, move to Hollywood (a cross-country drive with her grandmother, in a U-Haul she didn't know how to put into reverse!), early TV roles like "Filthy Rich," stardom on the hit 1986 sitcom "Designing Women," and her marriage to fellow actor and Southernor Gerald McRaney. It also explores her scandalous 1991 firing from "Designing Women," which alienated her from the show's actors and producers.
